ENTERTAINMENT
|
Star Trek: The Experience offers a live-motion, virtual-reality trip aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise into deep space. Adjacent in the Deep Space Nine Promenade are space-theme shops and Quark's Bar and Restaurant. Once Elvis' stage, the 700-seat Hilton Theater provides an intimate ambience for headliners such as Engelbert Humperdinck, the Smothers Brothers, Huey Lewis & The News, and Sheena Easton. Thursdays through Saturdays, The NightClub provides DJ music for dancing. Soft lighting, plush seating, an appetizer menu, and live music make The Crystal Lounge a romantic meeting place in the evening. Two casinos supply poker, slots, video poker, single-deck blackjack, craps, roulette, pai gow, Caribbean poker, and keno. The elegant, 67,000-square-foot Crystal Casino features striking crystal displays. SpaceQuest Casino is a smaller, "24th century" room featuring futuristic decor and gaming. Spacious enough to warrant its own parking lot, SuperBook ranks as the world's largest race and sports book. ParkPlace Connection offers free membership cards that consolidate in single accounts slot and gaming-table play at five casinos: Hilton Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas, Bally's Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, and Flamingo Las Vegas. Members earn cash and/or comp rewards redeemable for food, drink, and hotel services and facilities. Members also receive 10-percent discounts at gift shops owned by the hotels and may charge expenditures at all five hotels to their rooms.
